Pricing for LED lighting varies depending on a number of defining factors; fixture wattage rating, choice of LED chip, metal housing construction (aluminum die casting versus extrusion profile), optical design (standard design or custom technology), order volume, and the certification specifications of the intended marketplace.
Market-specific fixtures with high wattage rating, custom optical systems, and multi-market certifications generally have different unit economics compared to mid-range specification, volume application models.

Lead Time Factors
Standard catalog products with pre-existing tooling are shipped on shorter lead-times as compared to OEM/ODM programs that are new mold-built. The order quantities, certification testing plans (mostly for the local lab verification if applicable), and seasonal demand will also factor in the production schedule.

Who manufactures Guangqi LED lights?
All lightweight Guangqi LED lights are produced by the Zhongshan guangqi Lighting Co. Ltd at our design plant in Guzhen, Zhongshan city, Guandong Province, China. Guzhen is known as the Lighting Capital of China, providing us with an established LED component supply infrastructure. We have full control of the manufacturing process from the die-cast moulds and optical engineering to final assembly and testing.

What is the MOQ for custom LED orders?
MOQ varies by program type. OEM’s (existing molds, customized to your branding) have lower minimums than larger 3rd party ODM programs that may involve new tool creation. Product type, marketplace or fitment category has an impact as well (smaller fixtures like garden lights will have different economics than something like a high wattage flood light). How long do commercial LED lights last?
Good commercial LED fixtures are rated for a 50,000+ hours of use (using the L70 standard, or the lumen deterioration at which the lumens first fall to 70% of an initial benchmark value, usually at the initial manufacturing point). Averaging 12 hours a day (over 11 years). At 8 hours a day (Almost 17 years), whereas a comparable metal halide or fluorescent bulb would need to be replaced every 2-4 years with same use!

LED vs traditional lighting: which saves more money?
LED saves more in all of the categories measured. The comparison matrix above records the numbers: LED fixtures are in the range of 100-200 lm/W efficiency as compared to 50-140 lm/W efficiencies with the legacy technologies. The energy performance translates into 40-70% less electrical costs depending on the technology replaced. When added with no relamping labor, and ballast replacement and mercury handling no longer need to be paid for with fluorescent tubes, the overall financial payback for LED improves even further. Most business retrofit applications are recovered in 1-4 years.

Yes. OEM programs use Guangqi existing fixture design and tooling using your custom artwork, branding, box and market-specific electrical configuration. Both programs include sample approval steps before large-scale production.

What is the typical lead time for LED orders?
Lead time depends on three major considerations: (1) standard versus custom product – catalog items using existing tooling have a shorter lead time than new ODM programs involving mold development; (2) target order quantity – the higher the quantity the more time is required for production; (3) approval of electrical certification – if your target market requires further testing beyond CE/RoHS, getting lab appointed adds lead time.
